Consultant Biographies KLAUS OEBEL
Klaus Oebel, associate senior consultant with Guttman Development Strategies, Inc., is a creative, results-oriented executive with 30 years of domestic and international experience encompassing consulting, coaching, board of director membership, profit and loss responsibility, marketing, and sales. He excels at helping businesses identify their needs, create a strategic vision, and implement pragmatic, cost-effective programs to increase revenues, profits, and shareholder value. He is recognized for customer focus, business acumen, sense of urgency, leadership, personal integrity, negotiating, and team- building skills. Klaus began his career as a management consultant for the city of New York, specializing in not-for-profit organizations such as library systems, hospitals, and city governments. His work with industry and business clients began when he joined an international management consulting firm specializing in implementing operational decision-making and productivity-improvement techniques. There, he honed his process-consultation skills while working closely with all levels of organizations to design, implement, plan, and execute programs; develop teaching and coaching skills; and generate long-term top management support of programs to achieve business results. Based on the experience he gained as the general manager of the firm's international strategy practice, he started his own strategy consulting business. He has spent the last 20 years helping U.S. and European clients align business strategy with managerial effectiveness. Klaus works across a broad range of industries, ranging from manufacturing, utilities, and natural resources to retail, distribution, financial services, law, logistics, and electronics. Klaus received his master's degree in economics and political science after studies at the University of Cologne, the Free University of Berlin, and Columbia University in New York City. |
