Consultant Biographies
CINDY HERMAN
Cindy Herman is an associate senior consultant with Guttman Development Strategies, Inc., to which she brings 20 years of experience as a manager, consultant, and trainer. Employing an enthusiastic, focused, and dynamic style, she helps organizations develops leaders, build high-performance teams, and create service excellence.
Cindy has consulted with companies of all sizes—from global firms in the Fortune 500 to small companies and non-profit organizations—and across diverse industries, including finance, utility, retail, telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, hospitality, and public service. She has hands-on experience in management, marketing, and human resources in corporations and entrepreneurial businesses. Her areas of focus include program design and development, facilitating strategic realignments and senior- team alignments, and providing executive coaching. She implements performance management, team development, diversity awareness, visioning, communications, and customer-service initiatives.
Prior to her association with GDS, Cindy co-designed a National Business Management Training Institute for leaders in the horticultural industry; was selected to design and deliver a workforce development initiative in "World Class Customer Service" for New York State's hospitality and tourism industry; and co-created and facilitated a 13-week Strategic Business Planning Program for The Center for Entrepreneurs in Action, where she also provided coaching to launch new businesses and take young businesses to higher levels of performance.
She has presented to groups of up to 600 for MetLife, ODN of New York, the Mid-Hudson Human Resource Association, The Partnership for Women Entrepreneurs, Garden Centers of America, and The United Way and American Heart Associations. Cindy also co-founded Women with Wisdom, where she designs and facilitates workshops and retreats and provides coaching to women to grow personally, expand professionally, and deepen spiritually.
Cindy holds a bachelor's degree in business and human resource management and a master's degree in applied psychology. She has trained as a coach with Coach U and Newfield Network and is certified in and has experience with numerous assessment instruments.
