Consultant Biographies PETE ELDER
As an associate senior consultant with Guttman Development Strategies, Inc., Pete Elder develops and delivers interventions aimed at providing lasting improvements in the way people. The focus is on developing greater inter- and intra-team productivity and on improving the effectiveness of team leaders. Pete integrates into his interventions innovative processes such as outdoor experiential activities, using them as powerful metaphors to identify current and/or desired states of team and leadership effectiveness. Pete has been involved in the fields of managerial and organization development since 1987. He is deeply committed to the vast potential existing within individuals and teams and brings to his work a strong background in interpersonal effectiveness, along with a great deal of energy and spirit. He has worked with teams from the supervisory to the senior-management level, with project teams, and with global teams and has consulted with a wide range of Fortune 500 companies, small businesses, and non-profit organizations both within the United States and internationally. Pete has presented at numerous professional conferences on topics such as "Integrating Experiential Processes in Client Interventions" and "Myers Briggs and Leadership Development." He holds a bachelor's degree in psychology and acting and directing from Susquehanna University and a master's degree in organizational management from Antioch New England Graduate School. He has been active in the Organization Development Network of New York, especially in the area of business and social responsibility. He is also an active member of an Amnesty International U.S.A. local chapter, specializing in human rights workshops for public and private schools. |
