Consultant Biographies RICHARD A. CURCIO
Rick specializes in leadership development and organizational development initiatives. His executive-coaching approach helps leaders gain a full understanding of their current impact, which serves as the catalyst for focused development and enhanced individual effectiveness. On the organizational development side, Rick conducts team-building sessions with senior-level teams to ensure alignment on mission, goals, roles, and responsibilities, ultimately leading to improved organizational effectiveness. Rick was previously a director with Bankers Trust Company, where he consulted with senior managers on several major organizational change initiatives both in the U.S. and abroad. These initiatives included developing the infrastructure to support business strategies, creating transition plans, conducting job-redesign efforts, coaching executives, and implementing training and development activities to ensure successful outcomes. As a senior organizational development professional at Con Edison, Rick consulted to executive managers on efforts to improve organizational effectiveness, including cross-functional problem-solving initiatives and team building. Rick recently published an article on "Statesmanlike Leadership" in Practicing OD, an on-line publication of the National Organization Development Network. He has also spoken on the topic of "Telecommuting" at the Network's annual conference. Rick holds a bachelor's degree in marketing from Iona College and an M.B.A. in organizational behavior from the John G. Hagan School of Business at Iona College. He also completed the advanced program in organization development and human resource management sponsored jointly by Columbia University and the University of Michigan. Rick served in the United States Coast Guard. |
